Why should I choose Interim Legal instead of an establish consultancy firm?
At Interim Legal I offer a solution where very little commitment is needed from you. You can purchase hours as and when needed (whether full time service is needed for period of time, or whether no or very little assistance is required for the next period of time). The solution is very flexible, and you can adjust the assistance needed by purchasing more or less hours from time to time.
What is the cost?
My price per hour depends on the number of hours purchased. For ad hoc assistance or long term engagements of less than 5 hours per week the hourly rate is DKK 2,500. For long term engagements of more than 5 hours per week the hourly rate is DKK 1,700. Prices are exclusive of VAT.
What is required from me?
The steps you need to go through are: 1)Email me at Heidi@interim-legal.dk for booking. 2)You will receive an Order confirmation containing (i) an Order Form with the details of the order and (ii) my standard terms (which can also be found on my website). 3)The Order Form needs to be signed and returned. 4)On the date of assistance, you need to instruct me on the assistance required.
Are you an attorney-at-law?
I received authorization to practice as an attorney-at-law in March 2013. Since then I have practiced under the authorization for more than a decade, but year-end 2023 I deposited my authorization with the Ministry of Justice, which means that I now practice as a legal consultant / legal advisor, rather than an attorney-at-law. The reason I deposited my authorization is that I do not need it to conduct my business. The practical consequences of me not having my authorization are that I cannot meet in court and I cannot certify documents or perform other similar rights entrusted to attorneys-at-law. Also, the general rules regulating attorneys-at-law do not apply to me. Irrespective of the above, your expectations towards me should be the same whether my authorization is deposited or not, and further, my professional insurance meets the requirements (and more) for attorneys-at-law.
Are you insured?
I have a Professional Indemnity and General Liability Insurance with HDI Global Speciality Denmark, Danish branch of HDI Global Speciality SE, Germany.
​Why should I choose Interim Legal instead of a law firm?
My pricing is very competitive compared to the hourly rates of law firms. In addition, it will always be the same person assisting, i.e. information will not get lost, and assignments will not be delegated to junior employees. The concept of Interim Legal is to constitute an inhouse legal resource, i.e. general legal assistance. For in depth assessments of certain specific areas of law, you should still engage your trusted external legal advisor. In this regard I can help you save cost by making sure that the assignment is framed the best way possible and I can project manage any subsequent implementation needed. In addition, I have a lot of experience from the law industry and I can help you select the right external legal advisor.
Who will be my consultant?
Interim Legal is solely owned by me, Heidi Sperling, and it will always be me assisting your business, i.e. I will get to know your business and you will always have your senior consultant at hand.

Why is webpage in English language?
I am a Danish national and Danish is my first language. The reason my website and business documents are in English is to only use one language and at the same time cater for a situation where a (potential) customer does not speak Danish.

​How do I book assistance?
Please email me at heidi@interim-legal.dk to place an order. For on-site assistance, the booking needs to consist of 5 consecutive hours. For off-site booking, the minimum booking is 1 hour.
When do I pay?
You will be invoiced monthly in arrears. The payment terms are 10 days from receipt of the invoice.
​Will you work from our office or off-site?
I prefer to assist from the premises of your office, however, to ensure efficiency of my time, on-site assistance requires booking of at least 5 consecutive hours.
